EDMOND LOCKETT

HARTFORD CITY

Edmond Grant Lockett, 85, retired grocery owner and farmer died yesterday morning at his home here after a three weeks illness. The body was taken to the Baxter & Markin Funeral Home where it will remain for services at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Dr H. M. Cobb, pastor of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Center Cemetery near Roll. Surviving are a brother, Jasper Lockett and a sister, Miss Mary M Lockett, residing at their brothers home.

Obituary William Henry Harrison Miller

Albia - Funeral services for W. H. Miller, 55 of the Georgetown community were held at 2pm today at Downs Memorial Chapel here. The Rev. Lester C. McDonald Paster of Methodist Church officiated. Burialwas in Oak View Cemetery.

His death on Friday was attributed by Monroe Caunty Coroner Bart Down to a heart attack. According to relatives Miller worked in the fields, stopping about noon when he became ill. He died about 5pm.

He lived near Eddyville prior to moving to Monroe County in 1954. Surving are Four Daughters, Marian Rice of Council Bluffs, Rebecca Riggle of Durant, Miss Beverly Miller of Des Moines and Miss Shirley Marie at Home; and a son Robert Eugene of Redfield Iowa. There Five Grandchildren. His Wife Inez died in 1957.

WELL-KNOWN FARMER DIES

Lemuel Lockett, 61, a widely known farmer, died at the home of his nephew, Homer Shrader, north of the city, this morning, following an extended illness. For many years he lived with his brothers E. G. and Jasper Lockett, and a sister, Miss Mary Lockett, east of the city. The home burned a few days ago and the excitement incident to this is believed ti have hastened his death. Mr. Lockett was a bachelor. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning from the Shrader home.

MISS MARY MARILLA LOCKETT

Hartford City, Ind. - Funeral services for Miss Mary Marilla Lockett, 82, who died Saturday at the Blackford County Hospital, will be conducted at the Baxter and Markin Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. H. M. Cobb of the First EUB Church. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Monday.

Miss Lockett died Saturday shortly after her admittance to the hospital. She is survived by a brother, Jasper Lockett.

JASPER LOCKETT
Hartford City - Funeral services for Jasper Lockett, 76, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Baxter and Markin Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. H. M. Cobb of the First EUB Church officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, south of Roll.

Mr. Lockett, retired farmer and native of Blackford County, died Tuesday morning at the Blackford County Hospital. He had resided at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Lockett in Hartford City. A daughter, Mrs. Cleta Young, Kerrville, Tex., and four grandchildren also survive.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday

MABLE PAULINE DAUTRICH, 84

MUNCIE - Mable Pauline Dautrich, 84, went to be with her Lord, January 15, 2006, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon following a brief illness. She was a dearly beloved mother and grandmother.

She was born, September 16, 1921, in Albany the daughter of Carl Edward and Melva Pearl (Starr) Driscoll. Attended Albany schools and spent most of her life in this area.
Mrs. Dautrich was employed at Ball Memorial Hospital for 19 years prior to her retirement in 1986 and previously with Johnson's Bakery, and Indiana Glass and Armstrong Glass both in Dunkirk.

Surviving are six children, Judy Garrett, Muncie, Rita Markley, Indianapolis, Linda Garrett Boles (husband-Don), Mesa, Arizona, Norma Etherington (husband-Larry), Burlington, Darrell Garrett (wife-Shelly), Shideler, and David Dempsey (wife-Cathie), Muncie; 14 grandchildren, Rhonda Mitchell (husband-Bert), Muncie, Amy Upchurch (husband-Brian), McCordsville, Jerry Markley II, Indianapolis, Emily Case (husband-Doug), Indianapolis, Rachelle Harris (husband-Jason), Taylors, South Carolina, Renee Ingram (husband-Greg), Las Vegas, Nevada, Monica Andrey (husband-Mark), Chandler, Arizona, Kristina Gallarzo (husband-Roberto), El Mirage, Arizona, Christy Sharp (husband-Dan), Sharpsville, Shelley Beatty (husband-Sam), Russiaville, Sara Lane (fiance-Josh Bunce), Russiaville, Shawna Garrett, Muncie, Keri Lowe, Shideler, and Kasey Garrett, Shideler; 26 great grandchildren; a great grandchild; her sister, Clara Franklin (husband-Marvin), Muncie; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Myrtle Helen Tenney, her granddaughter, Kelly Lynn Phifer, and her son-in-law, Jerry Markley.

Services will be held in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2006, with Rev. Ron Elam officiating, Burial will follow in Strong Cemetery in Albany.

Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory from 4 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday or one hour prior to services on Thursday.
