VIRGINIA MAE BROWN, 83

DOUGLASVILLE, GA - Virginia Mae Brown, 83, died Thursday, November 24, 2005. She was born May 3, 1922 in Muncie to the late Charles and Mary McCaffrey.
She is survived by daughters, Jeannie (Jerry) Shelton, Sharon (Ron) Demas, Vicki (Joe) Halstead; son, Steve (Myra) Oliver; sister, Wilma McClunny; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Also preceded in death by her husband, Peter Brown; and daughter, Judy Graul.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with calling beginning at 12 noon.

VIRGINIA I STURDEVANT

Blythedale, Mo.: Virginia I. Sturdevant, 87, died Thursday August 16, 2007 at a Bethany, MO care center. She was born December 18, 1919 in Blythedale, Mo., the daughter of Bryan and Helen (Lindrose) Brinigar. On September 21, 1944, she married Jack W. Sturdevant. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1999.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Blythedale, Mo.. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid and Homemaker?s Club in Blythedale, Mo. Survivors include a Sister, Dorothy Baxter, Blythedale, Mo.; Nephews, Larry and Tony Baxter, of Blythedale, Mo.; Niece, Joy Linville, Kansas City, Mo.; and several great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bryce Brinigar; Jack?s 7 brothers and 2 sisters; and brother-in-law, Wayne Baxter.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, at the Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, Mo. Burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Blythedale, Mo. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 Sunday at the funeral home, where friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Sunday. Ruth "Rose" Updike July 15, 1925 - July 12, 2009

The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Ruth "Rose" Updike, age 83 of St. Cloud, will be 10:30 AM Thursday, July 16 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church. Fr. Anthony Oelrich will officiate, burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM Wednesday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and again after 9:00 AM Thursday at the church in St. Cloud. St. Augustine's parish prayers will be at 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ruth was born July 15, 1925 in Jacksonville, FL to George and Sadie (Brown) Rogero. She grew up in Florida. She married Duane Updike on March 5, 1949 in Georgia. The couple moved to St. Cloud after their marriage. Ruth was a homemaker and raised her six children. She was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud.

Ruth is survived by her children; Rosalee Zupan, Crosby; Mary Walz, St. Cloud; Susan (Leon) Kerfeld, St. Cloud; Nancy Johnson, St. Cloud; Donald Updike, St. Cloud and David (Rhonda) Updike, St. Cloud. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Geroalu Jacksonville, FL and her 12 grandchildren.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Duane in 2000, an infant son, Joseph, her brothers and sisters, George Rogero, Joe Rogero, Mildred Roberts; Jack Rogero and Clarence Rogero.
Memorials are preferred.
