Obituary Mary Lou Crutcher (Vance)

MRS. MARY VANCE

CENTRALIA - Mrs. Mary Lou Vance, 73, died at the Audrain Medical Center at Mexico Monday after and extended illness.

She was the daughter of the late Charles Robert Crutcher and Jean Marshall Davis Crutcher and was born in Monroe County July 17, 1897. She married Chesta Melvel Vance on Oct. 3, 1920, who died May 31, 1968.

Mrs. Vance was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Robert, who died in infancy.

Surviving are two sons, Glenn and Melville, both of Centralia; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald Ayer, Centralia; and Mrs. Ben McCullough, Ashland, Ky.; 11 grandchildren,; three brothers, John and Lloyd Crutcher, Moberly, and Bruce, Wichita, Kan.; and sister, Mrs. Laura Lea. Brunswick.

A long time resident of the Centralia community, Mrs. Vance was an active member of First Christian Church here, King's Daughters, America Legion Auxiliary, Strother Neighbors Extension Club and the WPFA.

Funeral services were held at the First Christion Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Donald Mattson, officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery southwest of Paris. The Meador and Sons Funeral Home in Centralia was in charge of arrangements.

MRS. J. F. FARRELL DIES IN NEW YORK; ASHES TO PARIS

Paris - Mrs. J. Fletcher Farrell, 81, widow of a long time treasurer of the Sinclair Oil Corp., New York City, died yesterday morning in the Sky View Nursing Home, Croton-on-Hudson, New York.

Mrs. Farrell, the former Miss Nell Curtright, and her husband were born and reared in Paris and he and their only daughter are buried here.

A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cutright, early residents of Paris, Mrs. Farrell went to New York City upon her marriage.

She is survived by a son, William Farrell, New York City; several grandchildren; and a sister, Miss Grace Cutright.

Funeral Services will be held tomorrow morning in New York and the ashes will be sent to Paris for burial in the family lot.

MRS. VIRGINIA BLAKEY DIES AT PARIS HOME

Paris, Aug, 13. - Mrs. Virginia Blakey 63, died at her home in Paris Saturday morning after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at her home at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon with the Rev. J. B. Weldon in charge.

Mrs. Blakey is survived by two sisters, Mrs, J. F. Ferrell, Bronxville, N. Y., and Miss Grace Curtright, Chicago; one daughter, Mrs. Nelson Wiliams, New York; and four grandchildren.
