MYRNA COTTON DIES; FUNERAL SET TUESDAY
Miller - Mrs. Ross (Myrna) Cotton, 62, well-known Central South Dakota news writer, died Friday about 11;45 p.m. en route to Hand County Memorial Hospital from her home in south Hand County. She had suffered from a heart ailment the past two years.
Mrs. Cotton had been the miller correspondent to The Daily Plainsman since 1940. She was author of :Farm on the Plains" which appeared daily on the editorial page and which is being concluded with the current instalment.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Moberly officiating. Burial will be in the GAR Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jerry, Donald and Richard Cotton, Ralph Zeiger, Loren Skinner and Ted Lamm.
Myrna Fintzel was on Feb. 11, 1902, at Salem, the daughter of John and Grace Fintzel. She attended school at Miller and took correspondence courses in journalism, fiction and non-fiction writing from the University of Oklahoma. She married Ross Cotton at Miller, Dec. 22, 1919.
In addition to writing for The Daily Plainsman Mrs. Cotton had written for the Miller Press since 1925. She was a member of the South Dakota Press Women, President of the group from 1951-56. She received many awards for entries in writing contests. including a national award in 1950. She also won several awards in the State Fair literature contests.
Mrs. Cotton was active in the Methodist Church. She was chairman of the Missions Commission of the First Methodist Church at Miller and secretary of the WSCS. In 1959 she was named the outstanding local chairman of public relations for the North Dakota and South Dakota Methodist Conference.
Survivors include her husband, Ross, Miller; two daughters, Phyllis, Mrs. Ray Woodbury Omaha; Connie, Pierre; and one brother, Dewey Fintzel, Sioux City,

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SATURDAY FOR LYLE HAIGH
MILLER - Funeral services for Lyle W. Haigh were held from the First Methodist Church Saturday, The Rev. Cecil Miller officiated
Burial was in the GAR Cemetery.
He was born at Erwin April 9, 1910, the son of William and Bertha Haigh. They moved here from Erwin in 1917 and lived here 40 years. He married Catherine Cotton April 19, 1941. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his widow; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Haigh, four brothers. Willard, Racine, Wis.; Alfred, Sterling, Colo,; Harold, Henry and Linnell, Miller: three sisters, Mrs. James Richard, Watertown: Mrs. Jack Meadows, Milbank, and Goldie, Watertown.
Active pallbearers were Mike Sisk, Carl Sisk, Charles Von Rosendale, Harry Corrin, Art Schwartz, Dick Froning.
Honorary pallbearers were Robert Gard, Kenneth Gard, Galen McKown, Garland Dennis, Tryg Hall and Lloyd Warren.
The Reck Funeral Home of Miller was in Charge of Funeral arrangements.

MRS. MINNIE KELSEY DRESBACH
Mrs. Minnie Kelsey Dresbach, 52 years old, died at her home, 1120 W. Park place, Friday morning. Funeral services will be conducted in Street & Draper's chapel Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. W. Clyde Howard, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Interment will be in Rose Hill burial park. She is survived by her daughter, Miss Helen Kelsey Dresbach.

BODY OF LYMAN McCLURG ARRIVES TODAY - BURIAL AT KEYSTONE
The body of Lyman E. McCluney, 42, who died suddenly of heart disease, at Watervliet, New York, is being shipped to Keystone, this county, and will arrive at 5:30 o'clock this evening.
Mr McCluney was a son of Samuel McClunny, of Keystone, and besides the father, the following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Walter Evans, Bluffton; Mrs Ed Ault, Hartford City; Mrs. David Lessig, Detroit; Howard A. McClunny, of Oklahoma; Mrs. W. H. Malone, Olney, Ill.; Mrs O. H. Shepp, Marion; Mrs. Lefflie Carr, Oklahoma; Mrs. O. C. Nusbaumer, Keystone; Mrs. W. R. Walburn, Portland; and Trevor McCluney, Muncie. His wife died three years ago.

MC CLUNEY FUNERAL SATURDAY AFTERNOON
The body of Lyman McClunny, who died at Watervliet, New York, arrived at Keystone this morning, on the 8:27 train, and was taken to the home of a sister, Mrs. Chalmer Nusbaumer, east of Keystone. The funeral will be held at the Friends Church at Keystone Saturday afternoon, at 2:30 P. M. Burial in the cemetery adjoining the church.
