Obituary Henry Piaskowski Sr.

San Luis Obispo County Telegram-Tribune, March 25, 2009

Henry Piaskowski Sr., beloved husband, father, and friend was accepted into the arms of the Lord Tuesday, March 17, 2009.

Born and raised in Boston, Mass., Henry's wanderlust and curiosity led him to the west coast, where he served in the merchant marines during World War II.

Following the War, his career as a tool and die maker fulfilled the needs of his analytic and creative mind. In 1949, he married Kathryn, his "Angel," settled in the San Francisco Bay area and raised their only child, a son, Henry Jr. They retired to Cayucos in 1974.

Passionate, caring, simultaneously a diplomat and provocateur, he devoted much of his time to the Masons, Shiners, Elks, Eastern Star, Lions, Cayucos Senior Citizens, Cayucos Sanitary District, Neighborhood Watch and other community activities.

Henry Sr. is survived by his son, Henry Jr.; two daughters Michelle and Diana; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at noon Friday, March 27, 2009, at the Cayucos Morro Bay Cemetery
