Family lore has it that at some point Harry left Minnie for his Nurse.
Harry and Minnie are listed as both living @1120 Park in 1922; however, Minnie and her Daughter appear @1120 Park in the same household together without harry in the 1923 OKC City Directory.
Harry and Minnie were divorced and by 1930 Harry had married a woman named Lena. In the 1930 Census Living with Harry and Lena (born in Tennessee) in OKC, is Ralph Hendricks, who was listed as Harry’s Step son.
We can find a Tennessee Mariage Record for a Fred Hendrix and a Lena Stepp, in Washington County, TN, Octoner 6, 1903.
We can find Lena with her first husband Fred Hendricks living in Topeka Kansas in the 1910 Census. (Topeka is about 100 miles west of Kansas City)
In the 1915 Kansas state Census, we find the Hendrick’s living in La Harpe, Allen County, KS (LaHarpe is about 5 wiles east of Iola, KS.) with all their sons including one named Ralph.
A WWI draft registration shows a Fred Taylor Hendricks, his wife’s name is Lena May, living in Sand Springs Oklahoma in 1918.
In the 1920 Census Fred is listed as divorced and living in Tulsa, OK with all 3 boys.
In the 1923 OKC City Directory a Mrs. Lena Hendricks is listed with an occupation of nurse.
Lena and Harry lived in and around OKC until at some point Harry moved to and died in Ardmore, OK (perhaps at the soldiers home)
Lena appears in several years of OKC directories until she moves to Pampa, TX around 1957 (where she is still listed a “widow of H V Dresback) in 1960 she moves to the address that is listed on her death certificate.
