Obituary Lyle K. Williams

Lyle K. Williams, 45, of 1417 South Ebright street, died at 3:25 o'clock yesterday afternoon at Ball Hospital after an illness of only a few hours.

Mr. Williams was born in Cowan August 19, 1898, and was graduated from Muncie High School in 1916. He served in the student army training corps in 1918 and had been an accountant at the Ball Brothers Company for the past fifteen years. He was a member of the Friends Church, the Delaware Lodge of Masons, American Legion, and Phi Delta Kappa fraternity.

Surviving are the widow, Bernetha M. Williams; a daughter, Miss Dorothy Ann Williams; two brothers, Harry Williams of Muncie and Fred Williams of Los Angeles, and two sisters, Mrs. C. E. Dillon of Chicago and Mrs. John W. Thornburg of Muncie.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Friends Memorial Church, the Rev. William J. Sayers in charge. Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery.

The body will be removed from the Meeks mortuary to the residence and friends may call after 6 o'clock Thursday Evening.

James Lockett, 18, of St. Croix Falls, Wis., was killed about 6:15 a.m. in a collision at the intersection of Highway 97 and a county road six miles west of Forest Lake. Three other persons were treated for minor injuries.

Obituary Betty Pauline Creamer (Scargill, Garman)

GARMAN - Betty (Creamer), 86, of Tulsa, OK, passed away at her home on August 28, 2008.

She was born to Sylvester Bryce Creamer and Bess (Lockett) Creamer in Columbus, OH on October 23, 1921.

Betty is survived by: her children, Ralph Scargall and his wife, Renee, of Las Cruces, NM; Diane Scargall of Tulsa; and Ron Garman and his wife, Sheila, of Mesa, AZ; her grandchildren, Jason Scargall and Jeffery Scargall of St. Louis, MO and Katie Garman and Logan Garman of Mesa, AZ; her great-grandchild, Mason Scargall of St. Louis, MO; and her sister, Sue Ann Gearhart of Santa Fe, NM.

Betty is preceded in death by her brother, Robert W. (Bob) Creamer

Betty grew up in Shreveport, LA and attended Louisiana State University and the University of Tulsa. She worked for many years at her family's steel fabricating business, Creamer & Dunlap, Inc. Betty was an avid horse lover and sponsored her son Ron and his palomino quarter horse "Sinbad" in many horse shows when Ron was young. After raising her children she volunteered countless hours to rescuing dogs and cats for the Animal Aid Society. Sharing her brother's love of aviation and adventure, Betty earned her private pilots license at age 62 and loved flying her Grumman Cheetah N26888 from the Jones Riverside Airport. Now Betty and her beloved dog "Turbo" are together again.
Cremation has occurred and a memorial service will be held at the Moore Funeral Home Rosewood Chapel, 2570 S. Harvard, at 2p.m., on Saturday, September 6, 2008.

Obituary Betty Lucy Rohrer (Coburn)

SANDUSKY
Betty Lucy Coburn, 83, residing in Sandusky with her husband and formerly of Oxon Hill, Md., passed away early Saturday evening, Jan. 29, 2011, in Firelands Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born Aug. 10, 1927, in Philadelphia to John and Dorothy (Taylor) Rohrer.

Betty was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Indian Head, Md. She enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, camping, traveling, shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lloyd Lockett Coburn, whom she married Aug. 10, 1946; two daughters, Georgia (James) Brennan of Walkerton, Va., and Dr. Marianne (Randall Harris) Coburn of Huron; her son, Russell (Barbara) Coburn of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Georgia Harris, Jonathan Harris and Mitchell Coburn; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved stepmother, Mary (Taylor) Rohrer; one sister, Dorothy Bartleson; and one brother in infancy.
There will be no visitation. Services will be private at a later date. Groff Funeral Home in Sandusky is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials, if desired, may be made in Betty's name to one's favorite charity.
