JAMES LOCKETT IS DEAD

Hartford City, Ind., July 25. - James Lockett, 75, died at the home of his son, northeast of here this morning after an illness of several weeks with stomach, liver and kidney trouble. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Washington Center, with the Rev. Mr. Dawson, of this city, in charge.

Inscription on grave marker "Wife of T. Henley, aged 64y. 8m. 23d.", this date and age at death matched the one in Uncle Edmunds notebook.

DEATH CLAIMS SAMUEL C'CLUNNY
KEYSTONE MAN PASSES AWAY AT NEWCASTLE - FUNERAL AT KEYSTONE TUESDAY
Samuel McClunny, 80, of Keystone, died at the clinic at Newcastle at 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. He had been in failing health for two years. Death was attributed to hardening of the arteries and complications.

Mr. McClunny had undergone treatments at the clinic for the past two weeks. Previous to that he had been a patient at the Wells County Hospital.

He was born in Pennsylvania, August 8, 1847. His last marriage was solemnized to Malissa Parker September 12, 1925, in this city.

He was a civil war veteran, a member of Company H. 91st regiment, Pennsylvania, Volunteer infantry and served three years. He was a member of the G. A. R. post at Montpelier.

Mr. McClunny was a well known retired farmer and had resided in the vicinity of Keystone for forty five years.

Surviving are the widow and eleven children. They are Mrs. David Lesseig, of Detroit; Mrs. Ed Ault, of Hartford City; Mrs. Ross Sleigh, of Electra, Texas; Howard A. McClunny, of Burbank, Okla.; Mrs. Walter Evans, of Bluffton; Mrs. W. H. Malone, of Olney, Ill.; Mrs. O. H. Shepp, of Hartford City; Mrs. Leslie Carr, of Burbank, Okla.; Mrs. Gretchen Neusbaumer, of Olney, Ill.; Mrs. J. O. Paul of Newcastle; Trevor McClunny, of Muncie. One son Lyman, is deceased.

The funeral will be held at the Keystone Friends church at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon in charge of Rev. Hale. Burial is in the Friends cemetery.

Steven Dennis Lockett, 36, passed away on January 17th in Tempe. He attended Shadow Mountain High School and graduated from Chaparral High School where he was a member of each school's baseball team. He attended Glendale Community College and the University of Arizona where he also played baseball. Steve graduated Cum Laude from ASU with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in printmaking. He received a Master's degree in printmaking from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He loved art, especially printmaking and currently two of his prints are on display at the Herberger Theatre gallery. Steve was so deeply loved and is sorely missed by his family and friends. Steve is survived by his parents, Nancy and Dennis LOCKETT, sister Michelle SMITH and brother-in-law Chris SMITH of Peoria and his paternal grandparents, Winifred and Cleo LOCKETT of Phoenix. A celebration of Steve's life was held at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E Greenway Rd. in Phoenix. Because Steve was an avid fly fisherman and loved the outdoors, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Arizona Flycaster's Club, P.O. Box 47357 Phoenix, AZ., 85068 for conservation and education.
