Coats of arms do not belong to
surnames. They belong to individuals, and are either granted to a
particular person, or inherited by descent from someone to whom arms have
been granted in the past. There are companies that will produce a
coat of arms or family crest which can be engraved, embroidered, printed,
etc. on all sort of merchandise. Whether or not the coat of arms
produced has any actual tie to a particular family is highly suspect.
The Tresbach coat of arms below (on the left) seems to actually have been researched and may actually have some validity. |
These two Crests are located on the Original Dreisbach Family Association web site. Click on the crests to be taken to the page at the Dreisbach site for the origin of this Family Crest as well as a link to the origins of the Dresbach surname. |
